Girish Raghunath Karnad, the Karnataka film actor, director, writer, and playwright died 10 June 2019 at the age of 81 due to multiple organ failure.

After his death so many controversy happen but not more shown by journalist and which we know controversy that may be real or some fact also. Because we are living in post truth area so we have difficult to justify what is truth and what is false.

Here I want mentioned one quotes –
“There is no truth there is only perception.”

After Girish Karnad death most of journalist or social media show his favorable view. And also few journalist given  controversial obituaries.

Karnad was great critic and always criticized other Indian writer like he didn’t like Rabindranath Tagore drama so he easily said as critic Tagore’s drama like boring.
One of the famous Journalist Shri Sandeep Balakrishna in his article published in Dharmadispach. Sandeep characterizes Girish Karnad as an “outstanding political pamphleteer, artful dodger, fine actor, a mediocre director, and a terrible playwright.”

Hindu hatred controversy –

One of journalist said that Girish Karnad had brought shame to his country through his distortion of Hindu mythology, Indian history, culture, and traditions. Moreover, this public discourse has been completely centered around Girish’s personal affiliations, and not due to some social cause. It boggles one’s mind when realized that in an effort to fulfill his ambitions, Girish Karnad has indoctrinated much hatred for the Hindus and has downright discriminated against their rights and practices, under the label of ‘secularism’.
On a related note, Tipuvina Kanasugalu is Karnad’s second attempt at glorifying Islamic barbarians and mass-murderers of Hindus as freedom fighters and misunderstood geniuses. The first was his “play,” Tughlaq, which bestowed sainthood upon the genocidal Muslim bigot, the madman Mohammad Bin Tughlaq. Outwardly, the “play” was supposedly based on this historical character but it is evident that Karnad drew a parallel between Tughlaq and Jawaharlal Nehru by characterizing both as misunderstood geniuses who were denied their rightful place in history by the fascist forces of orthodox and regressive Brahmanism.

         The political pamphlet in the name of Tipuvina Kanasugalu was actually is in furtherance to the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s communal agenda. Girish Karnad and Siddaramaiah had collectively taken several efforts to peddle their anti-Hindi hate in the state.
So here One of the controversy is Karnad was hindu hatred man according to his play Tughalaq because in this play he portrait muslim is protagonist and this character killed so many hindus. According to me we can not see people without attached with religious if any famous person some of ideas like different to compare other so that person called hater of majority. But it is not affairs for anyone because everyone has own choice.

Karnad as a political man -

As expected, Karnad was publicly opposed to the BJP and the Sangh Parivar and yet, he was not against accepting the directorship of the Nehru Centre and the post of minister of culture in the Indian high commission in London under Vajpayee’s government. Moreover, ahead of the 2014 elections, he had referred Narendra Modi as a “dangerous man”, but in July 2014, he decided to certify that Modi has “provided good governance”. Similarly, being against the “fascist” government did not make him return his award during the Award Wapsi charade in 2015. I can say strongly Karnad was intelligent politics person.
But his one thing is most notable as like Rushdie, Karnad believed to present reality in his play and satire on Indira Gandhi's politics Girish Karnad is not like as other actors who purchased by one government. He gave his real voice against government. Because most of I noticed that acter like Amitabh Bachchan who change party if Congress government so he favour Congress and if BJP government he favour BJP. But Girish Karnad was not that type of actor who often change political parties.

Role of social media-

Nowadays social media fullfill major role of people life. But some news they hadn’t show most of they show famous person good side but they don’t show second side of famous person. May be it is general thing most of anyone death after everyone eulogy dead person. But some of Journalist say  Karnad moral was Tipu Sultan and he always favour Tipu Sultan's name. After that thing also become controversial his life. Sometimes social media show some famous person as hero either villan so this is not enough to critized anyone.
