Confronting reality by reading fantasy: How does reading Harry
Potter make us confront the reality of our everyday existence?

Arguments and Illustration

  • Harry Potter series is how this escape teaches its audiences lessons about the real world and philosophical truths. As we know Harry Potter series are depend on fancy world but it is also shown sennario of real world for example in the novel shown three type of blood and their discrimination so in the real world also existence of race discrimination so it is reflection of society.
  •  Evaluate these illusions wherever appropriate against philosophical, psychological, scientific, theological and other considerations; assess their impact on reality, and whether they advance the appreciation, establishment or resolution of questions about reality. And Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban part is example of scientific fiction, in this series we can see Harry and Hermione's time travel fantasy but it is not possible in reality of the our everyday existence.
  • Conflict between science and magic In the movie we can see they can read memory of other people at last series Harry kept Severse Snape tear and read his memory so it is fansy but it showed as science in the lab environment.
