Thus, there are few characters in play. This play through Mahesh Dattani tried to show how the patriarch family suffer, and how family members inner desire for property that why family members relation become lie.
This play start with Hasmukh's and Ajit conflict. Hasmukh Mehta is a self-made instrilist who rules his household with an iron hand as at autocratic patriarch. Hasmukh has not good relationship with his family. In first part of the description of family members relationship between each other.
In the second part of play Hasmukh's death after reaction of his family members and Hasmukh's soul never free but even Hasmukh has desire to know what happened his property after his death. Therefore Hasmukh become ghost it through we can think that some of people think about property even after their death they don't think about their family members. Thus he was not good handler of the family.
After his death his mistress Kiran Zaveri become handler of his family. She is female even she has knowledge to which type handle family with any fouce that thing Hasmukh doesn't know that why his family suffer when he was living but after his death Kiran handle his family better than him.
