The Plague novel by Albert Camus review

Corona..... Corona..... Corona now this word like such panic for human being. And if we read history of epidemic or literature during epidemic time then we know it is not new thing for us but it is repipition of history. For example The Plague novel is best example of epidemic time literature, and this novel is written by well known critic Albert Camus. This is allegorical novel, Camus described how people action and reaction during epidemic. During this corona this novel is most discussing by thinkers. And this novel also translated in gujarati language by Paresh Vyas.
Few highlights of this novel- Dr.Bernard Rieux is main character in the novel and he narrate story of the novel. The book is based on the life of an Algerian town called, Oran, which was affected by a deadly Plague spread by rats causing wanton, countless deaths. Its residents were quarantined, and each person responded in their own way.
👉Humanity - human self-centredness VS human sacrifice-
In this novel I can read both type of characters, For example Dr.Rieux is sacrificed character in the novel. During epidemic her wife condition not well even he wasn't going near his wife because may be he believed his need is more important at Oran's patients than his wife care. So he wasn't going to his wife. While journalist Raymond Rambert want to escape form Oran, For that he ready to do any illigal thing. But he couldn't escape from Oran city. While Tarrou is a character presented by the narrator as somewhat extravagant, but genuine. He is a well-to-do visitor to Oran who, rather than consuming himself with thoughts of escape like Rambert, takes an active role in the situation.
So we can Raymond Rambert is self-centred character in the novel, Who want to secure himself only and didn't think about other.
Now same situation doctor and many other helper sacrifice their but few people only care about their self.
👉 Science VS Religious
This novel two main characters in Camus' The plague, expressing the conflict between religion and science. This conflict is shown by the opposite opinions of Bernard Rieux, an atheistic doctor who represents science, and Paneloux, a Jesuit who symbolizes faith in the novel. In particular, the debate between Rieux and Paneloux summarizes the cultural stratification of biblical roots, that is arrived to the Western literatures through two often crossed traditions: the literary tradition and the polemic tradition, that is relative to the connection between illness and faith. But when Paneloux see due to plague one infant child death so if his religious beliefs were appropriate then why infant child died ?
Even Paneloux also dead due to plague this situation shown science win over religious beliefs. This way both conflict can see in the novel.
Most of epidemic contacted with religious and may be it is valid when human were uncivilized , may be at that time human can't understand science because at that time not existence of science word. When Chicken pox, small pox epidemic spread at that time people worshipped to Goddess, may be at that time don't know their worshipped behind scientific reason.
Nowadays this kind of conflict also spread round society. Religious people say corona is result of human bad karma and God wants to give punishment to human bad karma without God sign anyone can't find medicine of corona. So that kind of people same like Priest Paneloux. This way religious people can't change their mentality even scientific age. It is like absurd mentality.
👉 Power of politics-
Camus also shown condition of people during allegory of epidemic. Human are controlled by power of politics. During the epidemic create new rules for people and people have to follow that new rules. It is shown in The Plague novel.
Power of politics view for ordinary people during epidemic condition ' We are like mass'. Who is controlled by government. At the present time situation of epidemic most of human controlled by power of politics. And sometimes it like absurd situation.
